a supplement panel is a legal document, not marketing copy. it is worth knowing how to read one.
serving size is a choice the brand made
ours is 10 tablets, 4g. every figure below it is per serving, not per tablet. divide by ten to get the tablet.
the double dagger
a double dagger means daily value not established. it is not a warning. it means the fda has not set a reference figure for that ingredient, which is the case for caffeine, l-theanine, and terpenes.
sugar alcohol is where the sweetness comes from. 3.5g a serving, 0g of actual sugar.
what to compare
compare per-serving figures against each other, never per-serving against per-container. a brand that quotes a small serving size can make any number look modest.
